About Chris Murphy
Chris has worked with dogs for the past fifteen years in many capacities. He is a graduate of the Department Of Defense Dog School in San Antonio Texas, where he specialized in explosive and narcotic detection with canine partners. He has taken his knowledge and love of dogs into civilian life as a companion dog trainer, completing an internship with Ms. Jean Deal of American Dog Training in Vincentown NJ. Upon relocating to Massachusetts he established Commonwealth Dog Training Inc. a dog training and behavior company. The growth of his training company and the large number of owners seeking individual care for their pets led to his entry into the world of doggie daycare. Chris’s company, The Common Dog has become one of the most widely recognized doggie daycare and Bed and Breakfasts in the country.

Chris’s success in the Doggie Daycare industry has brought him recognition on several levels, including being spotlighted as “An SBA Success Story for Profitability”. Chris has been featured on The Animal planet, Dateline NBC, Nickelodeon Television, People Magazine and many other television and print publications. Chris can also be seen giving seminars to people interested in entering the specialized pet care industry.
