About Boston's Dog Park

As one of the first Doggie Daycare facilities on the East coast, our passion for pooches has been getting us out of bed each morning since 1997! We started with a focus on training which culminated into offering many services in our state-of-the-art facility with a team of trainers & caretakers.

We all share the common goal of creating a fun day for your pups while providing a safe and enriching experience, with health, well-being & safety being our top priority. Our dog park features indoor and outdoor play areas, a splash park, a large training room, a puppy play room, a spa, luxurious bedrooms and web cameras.

The Common Dog offers daycareboardingtraining, and grooming. The entire facility is cleaned & sanitized daily, and we have hospital grade Hepa filters for cleaner air circulation. Every dog must be vaccinated and pass a social screening with other dogs in order to be a part of our pack.

If you’re dropping off for daycare, please drop off by 10:30am. For boarding, check-in is no later than 12pm and check-out is at 12 noon, thereafter Daycare rates apply. Need to pick up late? No problem, we have late pick-up option until 11pm most days (extra charges apply), just call ahead to schedule.

Laura Donnell - The Common Dog Owner

Meet Laura

My name is Laura Donnell and I am the owner and operator of The Common Dog. Along with my family & my amazing crew I feel so privileged to care for your dogs. My passion for working with and caring for dogs has been life-long. As a kid I was always bringing home strays having them named before getting to the front door. As a young woman I was the person at the party sitting with the host’s dog and as a business woman, I was finally able to make my lifelong passion a reality with The Common Dog.

Having started a training internship in 1997, I have spent the last 20 plus years working with and caring for dogs. I am pictured above with my new dog Rhea, a young Belgian Malinois who is as fierce & focused as she looks. Predominantly my husband and I have owned Boxers (absolutely one of my favorite breeds) but I truly love all dogs no matter the size or breed. Thank you for taking the time to meet me & I am so looking forward to meeting you & yours.
