New facility open for biz!
Thanks to all that came out for our open house this past Saturday. I hope that you are as happy with the new facility and features as I am. For those of you that were not able to attend, we are planning another open house in the near future, to show the facility when all of the features are up and running. The dogs are adjusting very well, and seem to be enjoying the new building even more than the old space. There is still sure to be some adjusting for all of us ; canine and human. New Airport service
Curbside drop off and pick up anyone? On April 1st, we will launch our new airport shuttle service. Wouldn’t it be nice to minimize some of the stress that comes with long airport check in and security lines? With all of the things that you have to do before you travel, let us scratch one item off the list for you. We will be happy to pick you and your dog up at your home, transport you to the airport for your flight, and then bring your pet to The Common Dog for their own vacation. New Facility Features
After many delays, the new facility is on track for a grand opening party on March 12th. Here are a few of the features and enhancements that are coming. Our underground plumbing system will flush and drain the entire dog park 3-4 times per hour. Our Ventilation system will condition the air in the facility, exhaust when needed, and return fresh outside air to every cubic inch of the building every 15 minutes. The K9 Grass is the same material that the dogs are used to “potty time” on at the existing facility. The 25′ high ceilings, and fresh air will make the park feel just like any outdoor space that the dogs are used to. The grass is also antimicrobial, to help with sanitation. Sweet sounds coming soon!
We are pleased to announce that we have partnered with Pet Acoustics to bring relaxing sounds to all of our guests. The Pet acoustics speakers have been researched and developed with the goal of soothing animals by producing sounds specifically taking into account how animals hear. Pet Acoustics CEO Janet Marlow will be visiting the new facility, and placing the system at optimum points to achieve the best results. Rate Update
Since announcing the move to our new location I have received many questions, and heard concerns about rate increases. First- thank you for sharing all of your thoughts, they are key to making this a great place for all of our dogs. Second- we are not projecting rate increases for boarding or daycare upon the move. We will however be offering some new options and services for everyone, but base rates will stay the same. Exciting News from The Common Dog!
This month we will begin construction of an amazing new pet care facility. The facility will be the culmination of 10 years of research and trial and error in the dog care industry, and is being designed with one mission in mind: To be a place where any dog can come to be well exercised and supervised, while remaining heathy and happy. Those that have met our personal canine family can appreciate the various personalities and care needs of different dogs, (we have three large German Shepherds, a Mini Poodle and a Chihuahua).
