Boarding & Daycare Requirements

Current clients do not need to make a reservation for daycare, but please have your pup here by 10:30am for daycare and no later than 12 noon for boarding. If you’re taking a trip, you can easily make a boarding reservation through our portal or you can call the front desk. In order to utilize our services, you’ll need a current credit card on file and up-to-date vaccinations which include:

  • Rabies
  • Distemper
  • Bordetella (Kennel Cough)
  • Clean fecal test
  • Canine Influenza (optional but recommended)
 

We send out an email 30 days before your dog’s vaccination expires to help keep you organized so please make sure we’re not on your emails SPAM list. All dogs playing in our park must be spayed or neutered between 6 and 12 months and must play well with other dogs showing no signs of dog aggression.

Our lobby opens at 7am and closes at 7pm Monday through Friday, Saturday & Sunday hours are 9am to 4pm. If you’re boarding, check-in is no later the 12 noon and check-out is at 12 noon, thereafter Daycare rates apply.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

No. We do not subscribe to breed prejudice. We do separate dogs in the park by size & temperament. By providing a temperament test, we ensure that each dog that comes to The Common Dog is not dog aggressive and gets the most out of their time here with us.

Our overnight rate is like a hotel’s, check out is before noon. The boarding rate covers boarding for overnight and anything after 12 noon is considered a separate day.

Every bedroom has a veterinarian recommended Kuranda™ bed that  provides ultra comfort and support.  We ask that you not bring extra bedding or blankets. You can choose from optional bedding available at $5/night to help keep your pup comfortable during their stay.

Yes, we have a little dog park separate from the big guys.

Should we need to take your dog to the vet, we will try to reach you to make you aware that he is being taken to a vet and why. We will also try to reach your Emergency Contact that we have on file. We utilize the veterinarian services of VCA Everett Hospital and Charlestown Veterinary Hospital.  They are both within minutes of The Common Dog. We do bring your dog’s vaccination information so the veterinarian can speak with your vet if needed.

No. We find that if we did offer in home shuttle service your dog would spend more time commuting and less time playing.

We have the option of having your discount daycare package automatically renew, however whatever days are left at the end of 90 days will expire and cannot be used or rolled over.

Yes, we do administer any medications your dog may need. There are additional charges for the dispensing of medications, pricing is listed on our boarding page.

No problem, please call us before our lobby closes.  We can schedule an after-hours pick up for you (available usually until 11pm for an additional $20) or you can choose to have your dog board with us the for night if there is room available.
